Governor Abiodun Commiserates With Victims Of Maiduguri Flood

Ogun State Governor And Chairman For The Southern Governors’ Forum, Dapo Abiodun Has Sympathised With His Borno State Counterpart, Babagana Zulum And The People Of The State Over The Flood That Recently Ravaged Maiduguri, The State Capital.

Abiodun, In A Statement By His Special Adviser On Media And Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Said The Ravaging Flood Has Caused A Serious Humanitarian Crisis In The State, Which Requires Urgent Support From Nigerians.

He Said While Natural Disasters Of That Nature Are Inevitable; A Prompt Response Like That Of The Government Of Borno State And The Federal Government Would Go A Long Way In Ameliorating The Situation And Bringing About Immediate Relief For The People.

“I Commiserate With My Brother, Prof. Babagana Zulum And The People Of Borno State Over The Devastating Flood In The State, Which Has Resulted In A Humanitarian Crisis Of High Magnitude.

“The Government And The People Of Ogun State Are With The Borno People During This Period Of Agony, And We Shall Continue To Pray For Them,” The Statement Reads In Part.
